Mojo Monday .......

Well I've entered a card for Mojo Monday Week 74 sketch challenge.

This is the first time I have ever entered a card for a challenge and hope that I've followed the instructions correctly. It's all quite scarey when you first start this blogging lark, everyone else seems to have been doing it for ages ...... and knows exactly what to do.

Have I made the picture big enough? is my card in focus ............ hmmm well that bit is debateable - I didn't have my glasses on, and now it's loaded I'm not so sure it is - but hey - like I said it is my first attempt. So fingers crossed ..................

Lynn, over a Lynn's Blog just did her blog candy draw and I won, I won, I won, I won, I won, I won.

Well how good do I feel. I entered three blog candy draws for the first time ever on Sunday, and I won one of them.

I am sitting here with a huge cheshire cat grin across my face - bet you're glad you can't see it.

Make It ............

Off to Farnborough on Friday to the Make-It craft fair. Just hoping that mum's cold is better so she can come too .......... otherwise Jim will be coming along, and I know he really would rather be at home watching the cricket! Actually I'm wondering if in fact it would be better to go on my own, rather than drag him with me, as I'm sure he'll be bored stupid.
Just need to make my list of things I just have to buy while I'm there.

Getting the hang of it ...........

I'm sure I'm supposed to blog more often, but things have been very busy at work and home. I guess I will eventually get the hang of this, but when all you do is work, and work and work, then there isn't much to blog about - well not that anyone would actually want to read.

I'm going to make more time to do things that are worth blogging about.

Growing my own butterflies

Well I'm growing my own butterflies. I was growing brussel sprouts, and very nicely they were doing. I noticed a couple of holes in some of the leaves, and a couple of white butterflies hanging about. I need to by some netting. I'd read in a book that these butterflies like cabbages / sprouts etc and I needed netting to protect them. That was a few weeks ago, and I'd been busy at work .......... and basically forgot. Till I went and looked at them tonight. Almost all the leaves are now full of holes and I have a nice crop of over 40 caterpillars.

Wonder if anyone wants butterflies for Christmas this year, rather than sprouts !!!!

It's very Green isn't it ..................

Well this is my first attempt at a Blog ....... how long I will actually manage to keep it up for goodness only knows, I have the attention span of a gnat ........... but here goes. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

My page is very green, not Green as in Eco friendly, but as in the colour green.

I'm sure I will find out how to change this to a more calming and sophisticated colour, like I see on so many other Blogs, with a nice fancy banner at the top, but that will be for another day. My intention today is to get some words down so I have something for people to read.

What people !!! who will be interested in what a 49 year old woman has to say about what she did today. Gosh it's not like I even got out of the house.

Just stuck to my laptop working all day - a bowl of poridge, 2 black coffees, 2 bags of snack a jacks (well I have the dreaded weigh in at fat club tonight) and a mug of ovaltine - threw the boat out with that one - and sat on my bum all day in the office!

Could it get any more exciting !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
